Albura trays, made specially for Doppia Firma in 2019, originated from the desire to create a set of trays with organic shapes that are interpreted in colors and natural shades of wood. The shapes of the trays were modelled using a subtraction method, solid forms were created from layered ALPI wood. The strokes of color and wood grain that stretch across the trays evoke a chromatic passage of time, like tree rings, revealing age and telling a story.
