«Pinocchio is an epic figure from fairy tales, and as such I compare him to the mythological figures of Olympus in ancient Rome, particularly Janus, who in iconography is represented with two opposing faces.

Giulio Iacchetti is an industrial designer; his distinguishing feature is the research and definition of new object typologies such as the Moscardino, a biodegradable multipurpose cutlery, designed with Matteo Ragni and awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 2001. In May 2009, the Milan Triennale sets a solo exhibition of his work entitled "Giulio Iacchetti. Oggetti Disobbedienti”.
Always focused to the evolution of the relationship between craftsmanship and design, in November 2012 he launched Internoitaliano, the brand under which he signed and produced furniture and accessories inspired by the Italian way of living. This project has been awarded the 2021 Altagamma Award. In 2014 he won his second Compasso d'Oro for the design of Sfera series of manhole covers, designed with Matteo Ragni for Montini.
At the same time, he pursued his personal research toward new design themes that flowed into exhibitions or publishing projects. Among them: the book "Italianità" published by Corraini and "Semplici formalità” edited by Johan & Levi; the exhibition "Cruciale, a reflection on the theme of the cross"; "Razione K, il pasto del soldato in azione" and "Mollette da bucato," produced by the Milan Triennale; "Uova Nuove" exhibited at the Previtali Gallery in Milan.
