The Jamais Content bookcase, which means “never satisfied”, was born from the philosophy of its designer Marc Ferrand: an architecture that evolves, that is always in movement and in transformation, but at the same time he tends to a minimalist, nomadic and temporary architecture. The modular bookcase is made of citronnier, a type of wood with cold tinge and coming from Ceylon Island. It is composed of shelves, connected to the satin-finished brass 'cross' element, which open up an infinity of architectural solutions. The bookcase can have a more linear or circular shape. It is possible to embellished with a leather door that closes one of the panes, thus creating a fascinating interplay of solids and voids.

Marc Ferrand
Marc Ferrand, in collaboration with Bottega Ghianda, has created the “Jamais content” project. From a satin brass cross combined with linear pieces of wood, the elements are assembled to imagine new combinations of shapes and spaces. Wooden constructions with infinite shapes, Jamais content dialogues with time and architecture.
Marc Ferrand’s work is characterized by forms that transform and inhabit the architecture. A design that evolves with time and imagination.
He graduated from the Ecole Bleue in Paris in 2006, in the same year he became a collaborator of the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, for whom he is responsible for nomadic and temporary design and architecture.
In 2017 he founded the Marc Ferrand Atelier, developing industrial design projects with international publishers, designing reconstruction projects and carrying out research on minimalist forms and their relationship with
the body and architecture.
